Third party financing
Third-party financing options are available to loan money needed to help pay the cost of deductibles, co-payments and out of pocket expenses needed for many medical procedures, including elective procedures that are not covered under your health insurance. Additionally, you do not have to borrow the full price of your procedure. Finance companies may loan you as little as $1,000 for your procedure, or more, depending on your credit history and the company you go through. If approved, you may be able to choose to finance your entire procedure, or pay for part of the procedure in cash or on a credit card.
The approval process for most online surgery finance is often very fast, and the companies’ status pages will often let you know if your loan has been approved, denied, or if the bank needs more information to make their decision. In any case, you will almost always be provided with a reference number, a telephone number, and instructions on how to proceed. With different companies to choose between, you may be able to get a loan for your medical procedure regardless of your credit score or history, just keep in mind that the more risk a bank believes it will have, the higher their loan’s interest rate may be.
United Medical Credit
We are pleased to provide financing for Medical procedures through United Medical Credit. You can get more information on their website at United Medical Credit. United Medical Credit offers affordable monthly payments, competitive interest rates, multiple financing plans to choose from and many more!
Please keep in mind that sometimes the online approval process uses a computer to determine an instant approval, instead of a person. A denial or loan offer less than you need may actually be able to be improved once an actual person is involved, and you will often have an opportunity to explain any issues that you may have with your credit.
Also, if you are approved for an amount that exceeds the cost of your surgery, most finance companies will allow you to borrow just what you need, instead of the entire amount.
Gastric sleeve coverage
A standard term used in insurance policies is that coverage is provided for what is "usual and customary" for a Gastric Sleeve procedure. The fees often covered include those associated with anesthesia, the hospital facility use bill, and the fee of the surgeon. Together, these fee considerations generally make up approximately 80% of the total cost. Some essential programs that are commonly covered by insurance include post-op support groups, dietary counseling and exercise and nutrition programs.
