Meet Dr. Hooman Shabatian
Dr. Hooman Shabatian graduated summa cum laude from UCLA and earned his Master’s and Medical degrees from the Chicago Medical School. He began his surgical career with an internship at Cornell University-affiliated Lincoln Medical Center in New York, followed by extensive surgical training at some of the most prestigious institutions in the country.
Dr. Shabatian performed his first hernia surgery in 2002 at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, an experience that sparked his passion for treating patients suffering from hernias and related conditions. Over the past two decades, he has dedicated his career to advancing minimally invasive and robotic techniques for hernia repair, helping thousands of patients regain their health and quality of life.
A Board-Certified Surgeon and member of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Shabatian specializes in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery, including advanced laparoscopic and robotic-assisted hernia repair procedures. His commitment to patient care extends beyond the operating room—he provides every patient with his personal cell phone number to ensure they receive the highest level of attention and support.

Meet Dr. Shahram Salimitari
Dr. Shahram Salimitari is a fellowship-trained laparoscopic and robotic surgeon in Los Angeles. He graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine, and earned a Master’s Degree in Physiology from the Chicago Medical School. Driven by his passion for surgery, he obtained his M.D. degree from the Chicago Medical School and went on to complete his General Surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. He then pursued advanced training through a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at the University of South Florida, specializing in laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
After completing his surgical training, Dr. Salimitari moved to California and founded the West Medical Center. For over 20 years, he has dedicated his career to providing the highest level of care to patients suffering from hernias and related conditions. His expertise in minimally invasive and robotic hernia repair allows patients to experience faster recovery times and improved surgical outcomes.
