This simple recipe is especially filling and perfect for the high protein and low carb lifestyle! Enjoy and stay within a healthy portion size!
Marinated Flank Steak
Get:
- 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vermouth
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons unseasoned meat tenderizer (optional)
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced
- 1 piece of fresh gingerroot, thinly sliced
- 2 pounds flank steak, all visible fat removed
Steps:
- Combine soy sauce, vermouth, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, meat tenderizer, if using, garlic, and gingerroot
- Arrange flank steak in a 9 x 13 x 2-inch glass casserole
- Pour sauce over top; cover with plastic wrap
- Marinate in refrigerator for 2 to 24 hours
- Drain marinade
- Grill over hot coals for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness.
- Remove to a cutting board
- Slice on the diagonal
