West Medical Center Inc. (“West Medical”, “we”, “us”) operates westmedical.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors of this website. Information you provide as a patient is protected separately by our Notice of Privacy Practices under HIPAA, which is available at our offices and on request.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, request a consultation, use the online scheduling tool, start a chat, or call us, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in, and any message you write. Some intake questionnaires ask for health information; that information is handled under HIPAA and is not used for advertising.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our servers and service providers record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site you came from, and the date and time of your visit. With your consent (see “Cookies and tracking technologies”), advertising and analytics services may also set cookies or similar identifiers on your device and receive information about your visit.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We use three categories of technologies:
- Functional. Required for the site to work, such as security, the online scheduling widget, the chat widget, and remembering your consent choice. These run without consent.
- Statistics. Google Analytics, used to understand how the site is used. Loaded only after you click Accept.
- Marketing. Advertising and measurement services that may set identifiers and receive information about the pages you view in order to measure our advertising and show you relevant ads on other sites. These include Google Ads, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Microsoft Advertising, TikTok, and radio attribution services provided through iHeartMedia (including Magellan, Tapad, Veritone and Resonate). None of these load until you click Accept on the consent banner.
You can accept or decline non-essential technologies when you first visit and change your choice at any time using the “Manage Consent” link at the bottom of any page. Our Cookie Policy lists the specific services and cookies in use.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and non-essential technologies are not loaded.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and schedule and confirm consultations.
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- With your consent, to measure and improve our advertising and to show you relevant ads.
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
How we share information
We share information with service providers who help us run the website and our marketing (for example our hosting provider, scheduling and call tracking vendor, chat provider, and marketing agency), who may use it only on our behalf. With your consent, information about your visit is shared with the advertising and analytics services listed above, which use it under their own privacy policies. Under California law, allowing these services to collect information on our site for advertising purposes may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; you can opt out as described below. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share patient health information for advertising.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to request deletion or correction of your personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, to limit use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Data retention and security
We keep website inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and for our legitimate business and legal purposes, and we use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
